August, 2009

Hi all.

Fifteen of us gathered at the Fire Station for the July meeting on the 26th. We even had the fire chief and his wife stop by and join us for the meal. Paul and Judy provided a fantastic BBQ feast while others brought yummy desserts.  Paul and Judy wanted to say thank you to all those who put so much time, energy and $$ into the fellowship. They are so grateful and amazed at how God has shaped this group of people to be used for His purposes.  Heather also shared on her mission trip to Guatemala.

Ride report for July:

Elwood ride on the 11th had 5 riders including Gemma’s sons, girlfriend, from Germany, Marietta.  We all had a wonderful ride. Rode a good 3 hours.

Review of summer 2009:

CTRF has been so busy this summer…we started with the BayOcean house retreat in May, had the Youth camp in June. Did the Buckaroo kiddy parade in July (by the way…the CTRF kids WON 1st Place for the second time!), we also rode in the BIG parade on the 4th of July, and we hosted 3 church services for the PeeWee Rodeos. WOW! God is sooooo good.

More to come after Family Camp…can’t wait!

Hopefully, we will soon put together a slide show or photo album for everyone to view.

Other news – agenda

Budget – We currently have $284.45 in petty cash. We have already sent our $30 this month for sponsoring Jackline in Uganda. No other expenses for now.  We are out of logo T-shirts…may need to put in an order. Contact Gemma if you want one 503-307-1484.  Cost is about $10 each for T’s – more for sweatshirts, etc. There are different kinds…just ask. You can pay after they come.

The next regular PPPP (Praise, Prayer, Planning, Potluck) meeting will be on Sept. 27th (we will not be meeting in August due to Family camp and all the other Great things we are doing). We will meet on Sept. 27th at the Colton Fire Station at 20987 S. Hwy 211 Colton, OR 97017. Pot-luck at 5:30pm followed by fellowship and business. Hope To See You There!

My command is this:
Love each other as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
